Raitas have been a part of accompaniment to main meals since ages in every Indian household. They are super healthy, refreshing, add an element to the meal and are also a great way of adding the necessary fibre to your diet rather than just chewing up on salads. Here I’m sharing a rather unusual Raita recipe, which is the Pineapple Raita. A perfect blend of sweet and tangy, this one’s not made on a regular basis at homes but is so addictive in taste, once you like it, there’s no going back.
I have made this Pineapple Raita by cooking pineapples on stove top before adding it to yogurt. You can use fresh as well as canned pineapple here. Also, this raita is slightly on a sweeter side and I prefer using honey instead of sugar to give that sweetness. This recipe is not too demanding in terms of the ingredients that go into this. You could also add few mint leaves in this raita to make it more refreshing but not too much that it overpowers the pineapple taste.
Once prepared, chill this Pineapple Raita for a few minutes in the fridge before serving, which would also help prevent it from turning sour.
Apart from this, there’s another raita recipe I’ve shared on this space, which is the Cucumber Mint Raita that is super refreshing to have, especially during scorching summers.
