Certain compounds in beetroot, such as nitrates and betalains, may improve athletic performance. This Beetroot Salad or Koshimbir is an easy recipe made with minimal ingredients. I have added curd to this salad that has numerous benefits like improving digestion, building a stronger immunity and has a cooling effect during summers. This oil free Beetroot Salad can be a perfect accompaniment to your main meals.

  • To make this Beetroot salad, firstly wash and peel off the outer layer of beetroots. Make sure to take fresh and tender beetroots for making this salad

  • Now finely grate the beetroots and add chopped onion to it.

  • Add 1 finely chopped green chilli, curd, chopped coriander and salt. You can increase/ decrease the quantity of curd depending on the taste you prefer.
