Kairicha Panha or Aam Panna is a popular refreshing summer drink in every Maharashtrian household. Aam Panna is one of the many interesting ways in which raw mangoes are used, that are abundantly available during early summers. Raw Mango is known for its properties to kill the intense summer heat & have an overall cooling effect on the body. Besides this, it is a good immunity booster, helps in digestive problems and reduces the risk of blood disorders. Raw Mango is also high on antioxidants, Vitamin C, Vitamin A and amino acids.
This sweet & tangy Aam Panna drink is made by preparing a thick raw mango concentrate using cooked raw mango pulp and sugar/ jaggery. It can be flavoured by simply adding some cardamom powder or even cumin powder, red chilli powder or sometimes mint. This concentrate can be refrigerated for up to a week till further use and can be diluted in water, as and when required to prepare this soothing raw mango drink.
